Valentine’s Donation Campaign
Making Medical Consultation Calls Free for Everyone
AMDA International Medical Information Center already provides free medical consultations and remote medical interpreting services for non-Japanese speaking residents in Japan. There is no consultation fee and no interpreting fee. However, for many people, the cost of phone calls is still a barrier to reaching out for help.
Through this Valentine’s campaign, we aim to make access even easier by covering call charges by introducing:
- Free medical consultations via a toll-free number (0120)
- Medical consultations via LINE calls
The Reality: Barriers to Medical Care for Foreign Residents in Japan
Many people from around the world live in Japan for work, study, or with their families.
Yet when they become sick or injured, some are unable to access medical care because:
- They do not know which medical facility to visit
- They cannot explain their symptoms or concerns in Japanese
- They do not understand the healthcare system and give up on seeking care
To ensure that foreign residents in Japan can receive medical care with confidence, AMDA International Medical Information Center support them.
This Valentine’s Day, instead of chocolate, please consider giving the gift of “free access to medical help when it’s needed.”
📅 Campaign Period: February 1 – February 28
Thank you for your kind support.
