We are an organization with the aim of education about rearing rabbits as a pet. We are also taking care of abandoned rabbits and finding foster families for them.

■ ペットのうさぎについて
まだ多くの方がうさぎは学校飼育小屋のイメージが強く、集団で暮らしパンや野菜クズを主食とした臭い生き物と思われています。そういった誤解からペットのうさぎの飼育向上QOLを目指します。
About rabbits as pets; For a few decades, rabbits were kept in a dirty small shed in schools. In most cases, they were fed scraps of vegetables or bread. So many people still regard rabbits as stinky animals feeding on scraps of food. We have been trying to clear up such wrong ideas and improve living environment for them.
■ 飼いやすいという誤解
鳴かない・散歩がいらない、簡単に飼えるとショップやメディアで取り上げられ安易に飼い始める方が多くいます。思っていたより大きくなった、しつけが出来ない、アレルギーが出たなど身勝手な理由で放棄されるうさぎが後を絶たず、近年では1歳未満のうさぎたちの遺棄も増えています。
Incorrect idea that rabbits are easy to keep; Unfortunately, there are large number of people to start having rabbits easily because of the information by pet shops or the media, which says rabbits are easy to have because they do not make a sound or do not need to walk with like dogs. However, as a result, lots of pet owners give up keeping rabbits and release them because of their egotistic reasons that rabbits grow bigger than owners expects, it turns out to be difficult to discipline, or that they get allergic to rabbits.
■ 保護うさぎがいる現実
近年は自家繁殖なども含め多頭飼育崩壊が目立ちますが公園や河川敷、車道などでも保護されるうさぎがいます。上記のようなうさぎについての知識が乏しく飼いやすい（買いやすい）と迎えたあとに簡単に放棄する飼い主も多くいることから、うさぎという生き物について〜飼い方〜など幅広く広める必要があると思っています。
Situation that people stray rabbits; These days, animal hoarding including self breeding is a big plobrem. Besides we often find many strayed rabbits even in parks or the riverside. As we told in the former section, people with little knowledge about rabbits get and abandon them carelessly.

遺棄されない世の中になるよう啓発活動していく上で、どうしても行き場をなくしたうさぎを保護することがあります。
お世話ボランティアや全活動を通してひとりの負担が多く、有給スタッフなどのマンパワーが必要です。
「うさぎ」という小動物にこういった活動はあまり馴染みがないかもしれませんが、それほど「うさぎ」の地位は低いままであるのに、
ペットとして売られるうさぎの数が増え続け、全国で多くの遺棄・放棄うさぎがいます。それらを伝え啓発していく活動拠点として

Activities that we do for rodents like rabbits are not popular in Japan. Now, more and more rabbits are sold in pet stores. But the situation that there are few people or vets with enough knowledge about rabbits hasn't been changing. This eventually causes lots of strayed rabbits around Japan. We have this organization to tell this fact and help such poor rabbits. However, we do not have enough staff members so each has too much work now. We need people to help us.
