私たちの取り組む課題
設置者の高齢化と闘病により、現地の維持管理が限界を迎えています。
「風の電話」はこれまで、設置者である佐々木格（81歳）が個人で維持管理を行ってきました。
しかし、高齢による体力の低下に加え、2025年末に肺がんが見つかり、これまで通りの手入れを行うことが困難になりました。
広大な庭園の草刈り、樹木の剪定、ガーデンエクステリアの塗装や修繕など、荒廃を防ぐための作業が追いつかず、このままでは「風の電話」という場所そのものを維持できなくなる危機に直面しています。
Age and illness have brought the founder's solo care of this place to its limit.
"The wind phone's line is not connected — but our thoughts are." We are protecting this healing garden, together with its founder, for everyone who carries grief.
The Wind Phone has been maintained, alone, by its founder Itaru Sasaki (81) since it was first built. However, due to his declining strength with age, combined with lung cancer discovered in late 2025, he is no longer able to keep up the maintenance as he once did. Mowing the vast garden, pruning the trees, repainting and repairing the garden structures — the work needed to prevent decay has fallen behind, and this place called "the Wind Phone" now faces the risk of being lost.
なぜこの課題に取り組むか
「風の電話」は、世界中の人々の「心の拠り所」です。
東日本大震災以降、この場所には延べ５万人以上のグリーフをかかえる方が訪れ、癒やされ、そして再生へと意識の向けかえを図るグリーフケアの象徴的な場所になっています。
今や世界中に広がる「風の電話」発祥の地として、この場所は個人の所有物を超え、多くの人の「公共の財産」となっています。
創設者・佐々木格は「自分が動けなくなっても、風の電話は継続させなければ」と願っています。
個人の力に頼る体制から、多くの支援者の力で支える「組織的な運営」へと生まれ変わり、このグリーフケアの聖地を永続させるために、私たちは立ち上がりました。
The Wind Phone is a spiritual home for people around the world.
Since the Great East Japan Earthquake, more than 50,000 people carrying grief have visited this place, found healing, and begun to turn their thoughts toward recovery. Today, as the birthplace of a movement that has spread across the world, this place has grown beyond one person's private property — it has become a shared treasure belonging to many. Founder Itaru Sasaki hopes: "Even after I can no longer move, the Wind Phone must go on." We have come together to transform this place — once cared for by the strength of one person alone — into something sustained by the strength of many, so that this sanctuary of grief and healing can be carried on for generations to come.

皆様からのご寄付は、創設者に代わり、環境と施設を守るために使わせていただきます。
いただいたご支援は、主に以下の用途に大切に活用いたします。
1. 環境維持費（草刈り・樹木の剪定・ガーデンエクステリアの塗装・補修・清掃） グリーフを抱えた方々が、いつ訪れても心地よく過ごせるよう、業者による定期的なメンテナンスを行います。
2. 施設修繕費 老朽化する電話ボックスの塗装・補修や、ベンチなど設備の安全管理を行います。
3. 運営維持費 遠方の方への情報発信や、会を継続するための事務局運営費用として使用します。

We carefully use your support mainly for the following purposes:
- Environmental maintenance (mowing, tree pruning, painting and repairing garden structures, cleaning) — Regular professional maintenance, so that anyone visiting with grief can always feel at ease here.
- Facility repairs — Painting and repairing the aging phone booth, and maintaining the safety of benches and other equipment.
- Operating costs — Costs for reaching people from afar and running the association's office, so the work can continue.
