私たちの取り組む課題
The NPO Control PD is an organization that operates as a support group for Parkinson's disease.
Our main activities include organizing educational and awareness events to assist individuals with Parkinson's disease in continuing to live in their familiar communities.
Those lists are the challenges faced by Parkinson's disease patients.
１．一般的な知識の普及が不十分:
多くの人々が「なんとなく聞いたことはあるけど、どんな病気なのか分からない」と感じている現状がある。
２．誤解や偏見:
「難病」という言葉が、パーキンソン病についての誤解や偏見の原因となっています。
パーキンソン病に対する誤解や偏見は、当事者のQOLを低下させる原因となっています。
誤った先入観を払拭し、パーキンソン病当事者に対して適切な理解と尊重を持って接する社会であって欲しいと思っています。
３．早期治療診断への啓発:
運動症状の前に兆候はあるものの、現状は適切な診断までに時間がかかるという課題に直面しています。
早い段階での適切な診断と治療につなげることは、患者のQOLを向上させる重要な要素である為、早期診断の啓発を行っていきます。
４．若年性PDの労働や子育て:
パーキンソン病を理解してもらえないことが、若年性PD患者やその家族が日々の生活で直面する難しさに共感しています。
職場への理解促進や家族支援、必要な休息の確保など、個々の状況に合わせた支援が必要だと考えています。
５．社会参画:
パーキンソン病当事者が自分にもできることがあると感じているものの、どうしたらいいか分からないという課題に向き合っています。
彼らの能力や意欲を最大限に生かすためのキャリアカウンセリングや社会活動のサポートを行い、社会への積極的な参加の機会をサポートしていきます。
６．レスパイト:
家族だけではなくPD当事者もリフレッシュできるよう、レスパイトサポートが必要だと感じています。
レスパイトの重要性を理解し、その提供を普及させることで、サステナブルな支援体制を築いていきます。
1.Insufficient dissemination of general knowledge
There is a current situation where many people feel, 'I've heard about it, but I don't really know what kind of disease it is.
2.Misunderstandings and prejudices
The term 'rare disease' has led to misunderstandings and biases surrounding Parkinson's disease. We hope for a society that dispels these false preconceptions and treats individuals with Parkinson's disease with proper understanding and respect.
3.Promotion of early diagnosis and treatment
While there are signs before the onset of motor symptoms, the current challenge is the delay in achieving an accurate diagnosis. Connecting to a proper diagnosis and treatment at an early stage is a crucial factor in enhancing the quality of life for patients. Therefore, we will conduct awareness campaigns for early diagnosis, as it plays a significant role in improving patients' quality of life.
4.Employment and parenting for young-onset PD
We empathize with the challenges that young-onset Parkinson's disease patients and their families face in their daily lives due to a lack of understanding about the condition. We believe that tailored support, such as promoting understanding in workplaces, providing assistance to families, and ensuring necessary periods of rest, is crucial. Each individual's situation requires specific support measures.
5.Social participation
We are addressing the challenge where individuals with Parkinson's disease feel there are things they can do, but are unsure how to proceed. We provide career counseling and support for social activities to maximize their abilities and enthusiasm, fostering opportunities for active participation in society.
6.Respite care
We recognize the need for respite support not only for families but also for individuals with Parkinson's disease to have moments of refreshment. By understanding the importance of respite and promoting its provision, we aim to establish a sustainable support system.
なぜこの課題に取り組むか
困難な状況に置かれているPD当事者やその家族が、より良いQOL（生活の質）を持って生活できるようにサポートするためです。
PDの啓発活動や地域への教育・協力を求める取り組みは、PD当事者と家族が安心して過ごせる環境・社会を作り上げることを目指しています。
心理的な困難に直面しても、彼らが社会の一員として尊重され、認知される機会を提供し、自己実現の場を持つことが、私たちの最も大きな動機です。
地域社会と連携し、一般の方々に対してもPDについて理解を深めていただくことで、共感と協力の輪を広げ、より包括的な支援体制を構築していくことを願っています。
We aim to support Parkinson's disease patients and their families facing challenging situations, enabling them to have a better quality of life (QOL).
Our efforts in promoting PD awareness and seeking collaboration with the community are geared towards creating an environment and society where PD patients and their families can feel at ease.
Even when facing psychological difficulties, our main motivation is to provide opportunities for them to be respected, acknowledged as valuable members of society, and have a platform for self-realization.
By collaborating with the local community and deepening the understanding of PD among the general public, we hope to expand the circle of empathy and cooperation, ultimately building a more comprehensive support system.

1.パーキンソン病啓蒙活動の拡充:
より多くの人々に対してパーキンソン病についての正確な情報を届けるための啓蒙活動の拡充に活用されます。
情報発信の手段として、ウェブサイトの充実やソーシャルメディア、YouTubeなどのプラットフォームでの情報発信を強化し、広範な層に向けた情報発信を行います。
2.サポート体制の充実:
パーキンソン病当事者やその家族、友人、医療関係者、ケアに携わる方々のために、より良いサポート体制を構築するための取り組みに寄付を活用します。
支援セミナーやグループミーティングの開催、専門家による相談窓口の運営など、情報提供と共に心のケアも含めた包括的な支援を推進します。
3.地域コミュニティとの連携:
寄付を通じて、地域社会との連携を強化し、パーキンソン病についての理解を深めるための啓発活動を展開します。
学校や地域イベントへの参加、啓発イベントの開催、パーキンソン病を抱える方々と地域の交流の場を提供することで、偏見と無理解を減らし、共感と協力の輪を広げていきます。

It will be utilized to expand awareness campaigns for delivering accurate information about Parkinson's disease to a larger audience.
As means of disseminating information, efforts will be focused on enhancing the website, utilizing social media platforms, and sharing information through platforms like YouTube, in order to effectively reach a wide range of people.
2.Strengthening support systems:
Donations will be utilized to enhance support systems for individuals with Parkinson's disease, their families, friends, healthcare professionals, and caregivers.
Efforts will focus on providing comprehensive support, including emotional well-being, alongside information dissemination. This will include organizing support seminars, group meetings, and operating helplines staffed by experts to promote a holistic approach to support.
3.Collaboration with the local community:
Through donations, we will strengthen collaboration with the local community and engage in awareness campaigns to deepen understanding about Parkinson's disease.
Participation in schools and community events, organizing awareness initiatives, and providing opportunities for interaction between individuals with Parkinson's and the local community will be undertaken. These efforts aim to reduce prejudice and misconceptions, while fostering empathy and expanding the circle of cooperation.
