Linked Artisan

The Linked Artisan promotes the authentic charm of Japanese culture and crafts while creating projects that will produce a new, high-quality culture. Our goal is to establish a sustainable cultural ecosystem in which people can engage in crafts.

We are raising funds to assist in the effort for a quick recovery for artisans who lost their workshops and tools in the Noto Peninsula earthquake.

寄付の使い道

創業明治35年の齋田石材店の5代目。
古来より伝わるノミや石頭等を使った京石工芸品や京燈籠の制作のほか、更に細かいノミを使用した彫刻細工も制作する。その伝統的な技法のさらにその後、得意とする「風化した様に見せる仕上げ」をすることで作品に時を経た重厚感を持たせる京都独特の伝統手法など、多彩な技は現代芸術との共同制作にも生かされている。
様々な職人やアーティスト、デザイナーや大学などと協力し伝統工芸の発展に取り組んでおり、近年においてはアメリカ合衆国及びイタリアなど世界各地にて石灯籠の展示や制作実演・新商品開発を行い、文化や国境のボーダーを超えて活躍の場を拡げている。
その活動を、伝統工芸や文化を担う仲間と共に世界の人たちに届ける事業を開催し次世代にその活動の場を繋ぐために、皆さまからのご寄付をいただき日本の伝統工芸や文化の発展に繋げていきます。
