2025年6月ジェーン・グドール博士の来日が決定しました！
そこで、12日（木）〜14日（土）、東京にて、ジェーン・グドール博士の来日イベントを開催します。
チンパンジーの研究で世界的に知られ、国連平和大使として今も地球と未来を見つめ続けるジェーン博士。森の中で動物と向き合いながら、人間社会や自然環境、そして地球全体のつながりに目を向けてきた彼女のまなざしは、やがて、世界を覆うさまざまな問題へと向けられていきました。地球温暖化、生物多様性の喪失、広がる格差、続く戦争や暴力……。あまりに大きな問題を前に、「自分に何ができるのだろう」と立ちすくむ人は少なくありません。2024年の国際調査では、「自分の行動で社会を変えられる」と答えた日本の若者は、他国と比べて圧倒的に少なく、「日本の未来が良くなる」と信じている人は、わずか15%にとどまりました。そんな時代だからこそ、ジェーン・グドール博士は今、使命感を胸に日本へやってきます。彼女が創設したユースアクションプログラム「Roots & Shoots」の理念とともに、「希望は、行動の中にある」という力強いメッセージを、子どもたちへ、大人たちへ——日本中の人びとに直接届けるために。

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Jane Goodall will visit Japan in June 2025!
From Thursday, June 12 to Saturday, June 14, a special three-day event will be held in Tokyo to mark this occasion.
Dr. Jane, renowned worldwide for her groundbreaking research on chimpanzees and her work as a UN Messenger of Peace, has continued to look closely at the Earth and its future. She is coming to Japan now—with a deep sense of mission. Alongside the values of Roots & Shoots, the global youth action program she founded, she will deliver her powerful message inspiring hope through action to children and adults across Japan.
To bring this precious and meaningful visit to as many people as possible, we are launching a crowdfunding campaign in support of her trip. Supporters will receive special gifts in return—VIP seating at her keynote speech on Saturday, book (Japanese), original goods, and even a special tea time with Dr. Jane herself. Contributions start from ¥5,000.

Hope in Action──希望は、行動の中に。ジェーンから受け継いで
26歳で単身アフリカの森に入り、チンパンジーの研究で世界の常識を変えた動物行動学者、ジェーン博士。以来60年以上、博士は自然と動物、人間が調和して生きる世界を目指し、世界中でメッセージを届け続けています。その生涯を通して彼女が語り続けているのが、「希望は行動から育まれる」という言葉です。
この理念から生まれたのが、若者たちが自然・動物・人間のために自ら考え、学び、行動を起こす国際的なプログラム「Roots & Shoots」です。今では世界70カ国以上に広がり、子どもたちやユースが地域に根ざした“希望のアクション”を起こし続けています。
2025年6月、ジェーン博士が日本にやってきます。Roots & Shootsの精神とともに、“行動することの尊さ”を、未来を担う世代に直接伝えるために。
ジェーン・グドール インスティテュート ジャパンは、ジェーン博士のこの思いを乗せて2023年末に再始動しました。この特別な来日イベントを実現するために、皆さまからのご支援を必要としています。

At the age of 26, Dr. Jane Goodall ventured into the forests of Africa. Through her groundbreaking research on chimpanzees, she forever changed the world’s understanding of animals and human nature. For over 60 years since then, she has been delivering a message of harmony—between people, animals, and the natural world.
She founded Roots & Shoots, a global youth program that empowers young people to take action for people, animals, and the environment. Today, the movement has expanded to over 70 countries, leading “Hope in Action” projects.
The Jane Goodall Institute Japan relaunched in late 2023 to carry forward Dr. Jane’s vision.
In June 2025, Dr. Jane is coming to Japan. To make this special visit possible, we are seeking your support.
