We are once again accepting birthday donations this year.
The donations we receive will be used to support the activities of Wake Up Japan, which promotes citizenship education and related awareness campaigns.
Due to the weak yen, the dollar is currently strong. Donations starting at 500Yen(about 3.5USD) are welcome. The exchange rate is currently around 150 yen to the dollar.

Thank you for visiting our Birthday Donation page!
A Birthday Donation is a campaign where you collect donations instead of receiving birthday gifts.
This year, instead of buying a gift for yourself, would you please consider making a donation to Wake Up Japan?
You can donate as little as 300 yen(it's about 2USD) by clicking the “Support” button in the lower right corner of the screen, so we’d be thrilled if you could make a donation—even a small one!
* Please note that the full amount of your donation, minus any payment processing fees and service charges, will be donated to the organization.
This page was created using Syncable’s features, and the organizations we support are non-profit groups engaged in public service activities.
ワンコインカンパ / about one coin(it's about 3USD) Donation
We accept donations starting at 500 yen. 500 yen is approximately 3USD.
Sponsor a Scholarship
Every year, we host training events for students and young people.
Starting in 2025, we will hold these events in small groups at the Wake Up Japan office in Hayama. By keeping costs low, we aim to make participation possible regardless of financial circumstances. However, even so, there are still some costs involved in hosting participants.
Therefore, we are seeking donations to cover the costs for these student and young participants so that they can attend free of charge.
Youth Engagement in Osaka
Wake Up Japan
Fieldwork in US
Every year in February or March, the IMPACT National Conference is held, bringing together students, nonprofit organizations, and university faculty and staff from across the United States who want to change society. This year’s conference is scheduled to take place in Louisville, Kentucky, from February 25 to 27. In previous years, I’ve been able to participate in workshops on topics such as interventions against discrimination, deliberative dialogue on immigration and refugees, microaggressions, identity, and self-care, and I’ve gained a great deal of inspiration for my activities in Japan.
However, due to factors such as the weak yen, expenses are expected to be 1.5 to 2 times higher than last year, so it is still undecided whether I will be able to attend the next conference.
Even if I cannot cover the full cost, I would still like to attend if I can raise enough donations. I would greatly appreciate your support through donations.
