We are soliciting employee donations to support the continued operations of Maggie's Tokyo, a facility available free of charge and without an appointment to anyone affected by cancer.

About Maggie's Tokyo

Maggie's Tokyo is a place where people with cancer, their families and friends can easily visit and talk to nurses and psychologists who are like friends who are familiar with cancer.

With a kitchen and a small garden where you can feel close to nature, this is a place where you can relax and unwind—a "second home" that is neither a hospital nor your own house—while enjoying the sea breeze and a cup of tea at your leisure.

Since opening in October 2016, the facility has welcomed a total of approximately 51,000 visitors (as of the end of April 2026).

Group Programs

Daily programs are held not only to acquire knowledge but also to alleviate loneliness through dialogue with others who share similar experiences, helping participants regain the strength to live authentically.

Maggie's-Style Support Training

To spread the philosophy and practice of the "Maggie's approach"—which focuses on standing by those affected by cancer—across the country, they conduct "Maggie's-style support training" for medical institutions, companies, and individuals involved in cancer counseling and support within their communities. To date, a total of more than 400 people have participated in the program.

Maggie's Tokyo by the Numbers

Since April 2022, Maggie's Tokyo has been featured in a Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology-approved high school health and physical education textbook (published by Taishukan Shoten) as an example of "initiatives to support people living with cancer." It plays a role in informing high school students about the various forms of support and facilities available to assist cancer patients.
